Anonymous writes "It gives me immense pleasure to present before you "DOMiNation"- A monthly newsletter from the Students of DOMS, IIT-Roorkee.
The basic objective of this newsletter is to build & maintain a long term relationship between Alumni, Industries, and other actors of academic framework by sharing ideas, showcasing achievements, and having a knowledge base, updating about activities happening in Institute.
“DoMination” aims to provide a platform where knowledge is shared, concerns are addressed, initiatives are supported and from where ‘PROFESSIONALS AND ENTREPRENEURS EMERGE’.
Through this newsletter we are making an effort to bring forth various issues in the current business scenario and analyze them with the managerial perspective.
This edition focuses on bringing forth the ideas of students of DoMS and their take on various issues. Contents give insight on topics like Rural marketing in India, Present and Future of Six Sigma and Microfinance. It also contains an elite talk by Dr. B.Ramaswamy. Regional Director of Periyar Maniammai university, Delhi Campus on National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. It includes sections which showcase achievements of the GEMS of DoMS where they have truly shown their spirit of “DoMinance”.
It also includes the various initiatives taken up by the students within their respective fields of interest.
Hocus-Focus draws your attention to the upcoming events you wouldn’t want to miss.
By way of the sincere efforts of the students of DoMS IIT-Roorkee coupled with the kind and able support from our mentors, we hope that the newsletter will give us the platform to transcend the boundaries of the campus and reach out to connect with the Industry, Academia, Alumni, Public and Private Enterprises.
We hope to dazzle you with the content of the newsletter and would look forward for active responses and suggestions.
We promise to continue in our efforts of having a regular interaction with industry and keeping ourselves abreast with the upcoming trends.
